Who is the
Addiction Attorney?
As a criminal defense attorney,
active in low and high profile cases, on both coasts, and between, for
over 30 years, I have observed certain truths. The first of which was
that all of my clients had an unhealthy relationship with drugs,
alcohol or sex. The second was that their lives did not get better
with a solid, conventional defense approach, regardless of great
creativity. Something more was needed.
That is where my personal experience as an addict in recovery for 18
years told me that “legal work” needed to include a change in
behavior. Only then can the underlying issues be addressed. The bad
behavior is only a symptom.
